One of the songs we often sing during altar time at my church has a line that says,
Reach out and touch the Lord as He goes by,

You’ll find He’s not too busy to hear your heart’s cry.
TAKE A STEP OF FAITH
So often, the Lord wants us to take a step of faith by doing some small action such as reaching out to Him when you feel His presence.
Of course, He could just plop a blessing on you, but He wants you to be a part of the process. He wants a relationship, after all. We were created to have fellowship with Him. So, what kind of relationship would it be if One did all the giving, and the other one never responded? It wouldn’t be a close intimate relationship.
He just wants a small step from us, yet His reach is enormous.
MORE THAN ENOUGH
Three different times we hear in scripture how the Lord’s love and mercy for us reaches to the heavens! You know, I’ve never heard of astronauts coming back to earth and tell of reaching the spot where heaven begins. Wherever that point is, Love reaches beyond it.
I’ve always heard the Hebrew language has no superlatives. It emphasizes by repeating. It has been said, if the bible repeats itself, you’d better pay extra attention.
- Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Psalm 36:5 NASB 1995
- For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You? Psalm 71:19 NASB 1995
- For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. Psalm 108:4 NASB 1995
Love, faithfulness, righteousness and truth fill the universe. Seems like a big God to me! A God who is more than enough!
