Realizing Without Him, I’m Powerless

Realizing Without Him, I'm Powerless

prov31grace

Recently, I’ve been a little frustrated. It seems everything I plan does not work out.

Simple things like planning family dinner only to find out that my grandkids had the same thing for lunch that day to more complex things such as having a financial plan waylaid on the monthly by things breaking and needing replaced.

I realize I have not been seeking the Lord in everyday details like I should. When I don’t, things don’t go well. For example, the other day at work a situation came up I felt I didn’t handle well.

Immediately Ask For Help

Normally, I’d stew about it for days; but this time, as soon as I saw the problem, I asked for heavenly help. My Father brought an idea into my mind of what I could do. I did it. It worked out better than I could have imagined. I did not lose any sleep over the situation. Win-win!

I realize I am powerless on my own to run my day, or even my life, well. I need His direction and guidance every step of the way.

First Things First

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches.
Those who remain in me, and I in them,
will produce much fruit.
For apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5 NEW LIVING TRANSLATION

My goal is to be fruitful. Spending time with Him is the first step.

This post is written in response to the prompt, “REALIZE,” provided by Five Minute Friday, a group of writers who gather once a week to write for five minutes on a single prompt. My post did take 5 minutes to write; but captions and illustrations took more time. I hope you enjoy!
