April Edition – Share 4 Somethings

April Edition - Share 4 Somethings

Where did April go? The days flew by, and because I don’t want to forget a whole month out of my life, I want to chronicle 4 things reflecting things I loved, read, learned and ate.

Loved

Easter has become my favorite holiday of the year since I have realized the importance of the resurrection of my Savior. If Jesus had not come out of that tomb, everything else about the gospel would mean nothing. However, it’s a historical fact with eye witnesses that He did come out and now I have hope!

I loved seeing my family for Easter. Everyone was able to get together except for one son-in-law. It doesn’t matter what we eat or what we looked like, it just matters being together.

Of course, we did take photos, so here are a couple of my favorites:

Read

As my readers know, I’ve been studying about prayer warriors. To that end, I picked up the book, “There’s A Crack in Your Armor,” by Perry Stone. I love how he describes the Armor of God.

I’ve also read “The Corporate Armor” by Jacquie Tyre. I highly recommend both books. I love reading everyone’s insights; but of course, it is important to first read scripture and to search it to see if outside voices are speaking truth.

Learned

I love discussing scripture with my friends. A co-worker and I were talking about the feeding of the 5,000. The phrase,

“Gather up the leftover fragments so that nothing will be lost.” (John 6:12)

really jumped out at us. We decided it was important to Jesus to not waste food; but wondered if there was more to that idea. Waste nothing – food, possessions, time.

What about lost opportunities? Something to ponder …

Read

Just like last month, I’m sharing a cookie recipe we ate; and just like last month. I forgot to take a picture. The evidence is now all gone, so you’ll have to take my word for it. These Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies are yum!

And that’s a wrap for April! Here in the Midwest, Spring is having trouble making up her mind if she wants to stay or not. One day will be sunny and green, flowers are popping up everywhere; the next day it is rainy, cold, and gloomy. I’m hoping to have some May photos to share next month that show some color.

May you each have a wonderful May!
