I’ve come to the end of my posts for the Write 28 Days Challenge, Transformation: Becoming an Effective Prayer Warrior. However, this topic is too big for just talking about it 28 times.
I’m on a journey
It’s a journey to become a prayer warrior. I feel like the strategies we have discussed need to be field-tested in my own life.
We have started 2023 with an emphasis on prayer in my home church as well. I believe the Lord led me into choosing my One Word for 2023, “Warrior,” to line up with my Pastor’s vision for our church. I fully expect to blog at least monthly – maybe more – about what I am learning about spiritual warfare.
Get serious
It’s time to get serious about prayer. Bedtime prayers and table graces are awesome, and we should never get away from them; but our world is hurting and we need to get pro-active in praying.
I’m fully convinced prayer is key; and Jesus is the answer.
Don’t give up
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that
Luke 18:1 NLT
they should always pray and never give up.
He went on to tell the story of the unjust judge who finally rendered a just decision, just because he was tired of hearing about it. Jesus then said “…Don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night?
Start out each day right
My checklist is not a complete list of all things covered in my series; but if we are mindful of these things each morning, it’s a great start.
Stewardship speaks of “the conducting, supervising, or managing of something, especially : the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care” Merriam Webster
We are entrusted with the truths of prayer warriorhood. Steward them by studying them, know what they are. and draw upon them every time we have need of them. I’d be honored if you would bookmark the landing page, here, for my series, and use it as a refresher from time to time.
As for me, I intend to go deeper with God and report to you anytime I make progress in my prayer warriorhood.
